The badge has a resemblance to other OTC badges but the motto is not one I recognise. The 2 rings on the side of the badge are odd as well

The rings remind me of pressed brass badges found on neck chains. oddfellows/chains of office etc.

I thought the motto was Greek but it is gobbleygook as it does not translate into anything I can work out.

Possibly 'The Good Mr Goods' !!!

Makes you lean towards art, Art college OTC CCF? , I dont have anything to back it up but for some reason I have a hunch it's London area.
But that may be just down to the similarity with the Artist's rifles badge. or could there be a link, What about a VTC or training reserve unit, or Veteran reserve.

Default Battersea Grammar School cap badge

Hi All - just see the above thread re. Battersea Grammar school - i have recently won the attached cap badge and it is the arms of the school inc motto but differs somewhat from the badges previously mentioned and I cannot find any reference to it in any of my books. Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks, Matt

If a Forum member has bought this then you might wish to confirm it's ID with the website linked to on page 1 which identifies it as a school, and not a cadet force, lapel badge.
