Default Military Police

Hi

Can anyone confirm what the armlets worn by MPs serving outside SA during the Second World War looked like?

Were they MP in red on navy/black or were they MP in black on red?

Pictures I've seen on MPs within SA c.1940 seem to indicate they wore black on red but I read somewhere that they wore red on navy blue/black...

Thanks!

According to http://home.mweb.co.za/re/redcap/newinsig.htm , they wore black letters on red (presumably SPFS orange) brassards in SA, and red letters on black brassards in North Africa and Italy. No mention of what they wore in the East Africa and Madagascar campaigns.
