Possibly due to it's lineage and connection to the 4/19 PWLH.

Not 1000% sure though.

Hi Mick, I was wondering why they had,silver over yellow, silver over red, blue and black as backing to the "courage", thanks again for the pics, really good to see so many, Mike

Not sure about those variations.

Might have to ask around and see what I can find out. They were worn in the 1970s and 1980s I believe.
