Default Passchendaele 100 Poppy

Received my poppy today. Magnificent. I missed out on the Somme poppy, but I have no connection with that battle. However, I have with the 3rd battle of Ypres (Passchendaele). My cousin (I'm once removed) was wounded in the battle. He was Machine Gun Corps and subsequently 6th Bn Tank Corps when he was killed on 30th Sept 1918. Fitting then that my poppy is to 21960 Cpl Augustus Thomas TABOR, Machine Gun Corps, killed on 25th Sept 1917 and remembered at the Tyne Cot Memorial. A little searching finds that Augustus was previously 2569 Pte in the Cambridgeshire Regt. The pic is of my cousin James. Lest We Forget.

I think the poppies are very attractive and beautifully made, the Somme poppies are still available, so you have not missed out.
