Default Leicestershire Regiment ~ Indian Made?

Any opinions on this would be greatly appreciated. I'm unfamiliar with the markings used by Indian makers of such badges if, indeed, this is Indian made.

Default Leics Regt

I've certainly seen this badge before, but am unsure of its provenance. Member 'Ticker Riley' knows more than most about this regiment's badges, he might help if you pm him.

Stephen.

Initials followed by the last two numbers of a date are very typical of U.P. area badge makers in India.

A very nice badge.

Thanks for your feedback. I was initially unsure about this due to the difference in metal colour between the slider and the Tiger.

Not unusual. Even British gilding metal and bi-metal badges had brass sliders.
