Default WVS Blouse Badge

Hi all,

I've just been looking on eBay and spoted a badge listed as a reproduction WVS blouse badge. I had no idea these had been reproduced so can anyone tell me if this one I picked up last year is original or not please.

I'd also appreciate any tips on how you can tell.

Thanks,

Michael

Today I received a job lot I bought, mainly for the WVS broach thinking it was cheap and I could use it as a swap.

When you compare it to the one I had you can see the difference instantly.

I'm now wondering if my original one is a reproduction or just a later, more modern issue. Does anyone know when these were worn until?

Michael

WVS changed to WRVS in 1966 I believe.

I've never really thought of these as being particularly valuable, would there be any point in faking them. I'm sure they made 1000s so there must be a lot out there.
Cheers,
Alex

I'd agree with Alex. Hardly rare so probably just a variation.
