Great initiative.
On 8 July 2017 RMA North Wales ran a gala to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Falklands conflict. We wrote to many local sports clubs for donations to auction. Most failed to respond, many had 'thier own charities' the exceptions were Manchester United who put us in a draw for a signed shirt - which we won - and Wigan Warriors who I believe have been training at RM Training Centre Lympston.
I have just completed the accounts for the Gala and the Auction prizes, including the above, contributed significantly to our success.
More 'concrete' support from Sports clubs would be of great mutual benefit to all I think, given growing emphasis on involvement with the wider community.

For those wanting to put a date in their diary

https://www.armedforcesday.org.uk/ll...rces-day-2018/

We hosted our Falklands Gala (see post above) at Llandudno - it has great potential for Armed Forces Day 30 June 2018. It may be an idea to get your accommodation booked if you wish to go ...
