Talking Just found in garden

Any idea what year this is from please? I was weeding this afternoon and found it, I'm over the moon!

Royal Artillery cap badge from 1906 to 1950s. There are versions that are solid with out any voids to the wheel or the crown that date from WW1.

I have cleaned it up a bit now as seen in pic. Is there any way of identifying exactly what era this could have come from? Thanks for your reply. Also, is this how it is supposed to look or do you think I need to polish it? Thanks - lucy

The same design was worn from 1906 until the 1950s. I would not polish it.

I'd concur with Alan, it is in pretty good shape considering it has been in the ground for x number of years, so I'd leave it as is.
