5th Royal Scots gilding metal glengarry badge with rich coppery colour.
1885 pattern Ref Brooker 105-11-28.

Nice example. The pre-1914 alloys were of a different composition than CEF and post-war.

It is a nice badge. Interesting to note the shape of the lugs. The very short "foot" of the lugs, is this a marker for the age of the badge? Or does it define a maker of the time?

Compare to this 1906 pattern by J.Gaunt, with a more brassy appearance.
Brooker 105-11-40.
