Default WW1, CANADIAN JEWISH INFANTRY COMPANY

One of the rarer and smallest unit in the CEF,up for sale.....the seller really want to sell this badge,read the description.
BTW,the last one sold, in December,from a Canadian seller for C $1,825.00.....

A rare badge, but it appears the heyday of CEF badges is waning. There has not been the spectacular bidding and prices realized seem to have declined over the last couple of years. A vendor can list for whatever price he/she wishes, but selling it is determined by the market. And, the market is much softer than two years ago.

I have no idea about the badge but he's talking total nonsense about the other Jewish units in WW1.

The spin on the Canadian unit is a bit fuzzy as well.

No - I was referring to the potted "history" of the British units. I wouldn't care to comment one way or another on the authenticity of any of the badges on offer - I haven't seen or handled enough confirmed genuine examples.

There was no taker for this badge on 7 October 2015.......with a starting bid of US $999.00 and a buy it now of US $ 2,200.00..........

.......but then the seller is re-listing the same badge but with a lower starting price....of US $ 599.00.....this could go on for a long time.....
