Brass Luged badge letters DCF or variant thereof any ideas. Penny for scale.

It is certainly Anglo Boer War and British made (the Cape silversmiths in King Williams Town normally hand made them in silver) die cast, generic, Colonial Defence Force, very nice and scarce to find these days, well done!
