Royal Fusiliers bi-metal
Hi,
I found this Royal Fusiliers badge in bi-metal but after research I have no references for this badge. Would this be an NCOs or Bandsmen badge? Thanks for any help. Loïc |

8th Bn RF? Though I don't know if it's genuine.
(I have a pair of the battalions collar dogs in bimetal). |

Militia popped into my head when I first saw it but I’ll have to check.
If you’re looking to move it on please drop me a PM. |

The same badge in bi-anod al exists, I think MikeH has some knowledge of the bimetal RF badges.
On second thoughts the anod al would be Queen's Crown, and my bimetal collar dogs are probably Queen's Crown too. Last edited by leigh kitchen; 07-10-21 at 01:32 PM. Reason: Add re. Queen's crown. |

The badge pictured is on a long slider suggesting pre 1906. It may have been re-adopted in AA later.

I don't think the slider is long enough to be edwardian and I've got a few with longer but not that long sliders, I'd also expect a braze hole on a badge from that period also.

It’s in Kipling & King as a Militia badge. I’ve seen them with sweatholes and without, mine has the rose lead soldered. Nice badge, I’m envious.
