Boer War Period Badge?
I picked this up in a mixed lot recently and would like to positively ID it before moving it on. It bears a resemblance to other Boer War period badges I have seen in the past. The letters appears to be KPS? and there is a stamp on the reverse (I think from a Birmingham maker). Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks!

Hi Des,
I'm not sure what it is but I like it a lot. I will have a nose around my notes. Cheers, Roy

I have noticed that Vaughtons made sports and club badges generally and I have never seen a Military badge made by them which is part of the uniform such as cap or collar etc.

Hi Des,
It really is a crackerjack badge but despite my best efforts I'm coming up with a blank on a military identification. Cheerio, Roy

Vaughton Maker
Just came across this thread as I'm still trying to identify my cyphers - one of which is eerily similar in production to yours. I've been able to establish that Vaughtons ( established in 1819 ) are still going today and that in the past they have done Military Insignia - one forum member has a KOLI badge pre 1881 made by Vaughtons which he thinks has an Indian connection - I still think mine have an Indian link and date it to pre 1900 - but no nearer establishing which unit. Possibly one of the Indian States forces ?
