Default Interesting Early Button

Hi Gents,

Here is an interesting early button, not one I'm familiar with.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-Geor...sAAOSwbWZaUnn~

Anyone know what it is?

Cheerio,

Roy

Hi Rob,

Thanks for that. Looks like it's from Jersey then circa 1804-16. Always good to learn something new.

Cheers,

Roy

Sorry, but you will have to ignore those dates for Jennens, they are totally wrong due to a punctuation error in the original source book - 'Shoulder Belt Plates and Buttons' by Parkyn - which has often been repeated as here.

The correct dates are:-

Charles Jennens & Co 1800-1832;
Jennens & Co 1833-1912;
Jenenns & Co Ltd 1912-1924.
