Default Omani uniform buttons from Oman

I am updating my records of my Middle Eastern buttons. It is not easy.
Please find attached scans of my modest Omani uniform button collection.
I have not been able to find their names and periods apart from the generic "Oman Army".
All but one are anodised (gilt & silver). Most are marked Firmin, London. One design (no 2) has Mulgo, Bombay.
Can I get help from forum members to identify them?

Hi

1. Original SAF officers' button 1950ish
2. Later SAF officers
3. Royal Army of Oman c1985 on
4. Royal Guard Regt - I think
5. SON officers
6. Maybe SON?
7. Maybe early ROP
8. Royal Guard Brigade.

Eddie

I am reading up on the complicated history of this region.
You have listed the first two buttons are SAF. Is that South Arabian Federation? The brass button could date that far back, but the construction of the 2nd design are 1990s Firmin construction.
(scan attached)
Would you please elaborate?

I have been working on my other Arabian buttons. Most eagles or falcons do have a text, but it is hard to find them on stamps, coins and badges. I even recognised a few stamps from my early collecting years in the 1960s.
Could the attached 16mm chrome button be Federation of South Arabia?

I've been thinking and on reconsideration I think No 4 might actually be Royal Army of Oman in the brief period before buttons etc were changed from silver to gilt.

Eddy, Marc,
Thank you again.

Would you be interested to see buttons from other countries in the region?

regards,
