Default 21st Northern Corps TA and Suffolk?

I recently bought a badged 1949 pattern BD with the unusual Suffolk/Cambridgeshire arm titles which appeared around 1964. As can be seen the arms also have the printed sign of the TA's 21st Northern Corps which was disbanded in 1955.

My initial reaction was that the 21st Corps badges had been added for decoration but they are professionally and correctly sewn on.

Did the 21st Corps badge get revived at a later date or is this just a well executed fudge?

I have consulted Forum member Badjez who has detailed knowledge of East Anglian regiments and he is stumped. So over to the members...
