This one arrived today, modern metal, same size as a/a cap badge, can anyone confirm it as being worn by NCO'S.
Cheers Tony.

As they are the 2nd Bn, The Royal Regiment of Scotland, I doubt it.

Could it be a belt buckle badge to be attached to a chrome back plate?

The RHF wore the hackle with no badge in their ToS but I can confirm that the NCos wore a bi-metal badge of this design in their glengarrys. Whether it was bn purchase or supplied by the system, I don't know.

I always though the a/a version looked like a Christmas decoration, it was so sparkly.

Tim
The belt buckle badge is different Tim. The same grenade with HLI but the flames are rounded rather than up to a point ( similar shape to an RSF badge).
