Default INDIA PEGASUS WORN IN THE UK .

HI , the recent thread on the chindit / para BD reminded me of a story told to me years back by a leading India Airborne collector who had a pair of locally made formations signs with the word INDIA removed , bAck in the 1980`s when a lot of these former soldiers were still alive he tracked several down and all commented that they were part of a parachute battalion that on its return to the UK at the wars end were instructed to either remove the formation sign or un pick the word india as they were now part of UK Airborne forces not sure if this was a formal instruction or the result of an angry R.S.M but its true so keep checking these India Airborne signfor the `un picked ` versions ......
