cap badge mystery
Hello
My grandfather served in the paras in 1946. we have found what looks like a cap badge pinned to a circle of green felt, it is a gold colour '2' on a black circle set into a similar 6-pointed gold star. Does anyone recognise it. |

Hello drfeelgood, welcome to the Forum. Your account is active and open for posts.
An image of the badge in question would assist in answering your query.

Sounds like a Boy Scout service star worn from the late 1930s to I think 1960s.
