Default THE HOME GUARD 1939-1945.

© IWM (H 4936) Home Guards in the Edinburgh area organised a motor boat patrol for use on the canals and waterways of the district in order to protect local factories and buildings. One of the motor boats with a Lewis gun mounted in the bows.19 October 1940.

It might be even more interesting to see a photo immediately after they all opened fire.
