Default Green Felt for Badge Backup

What sort of felt was used to back up cap badges? I would like make up a cap as pictured. I have a GS Cap, and the Worcestershire Regiment badge, need felt for backing. Also was the felt backed up with any other material or just sewn on as is. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Ekim 2525
The Worcestshire Regt badge backing was Emerald Green in colour, 2 1/4" high x 2" wide according to Badge Backings & Special Embelishents of the British Army, I'm guessing that original ones would be of a similar material to the Middlesex Regt ones I collect as in a thicker courser material as apposed to plain felt, they have either a cloth or paper back to them so may be similar for the Worscestershires ? I've never seen an original so can only presume for them, I'd maybe cut a section of Emerald Green felt and attach a stiffer card or cloth to the back as I think just felt would be to floppy, just my views of course.

Probably better to post this in the headdress or general section rather than Naval, you would get more coverage as Naval seems to be a limited interest.
Cheers,
Alex
