Default 2 Rising Suns (slider) badges I picked up recently

Hi all
here are 2 badges picked up recently 1 is double marker marked and the other maker marked on back of badge note one has a retaining clip to slider and the other the slider is bent over for extra tension.

Both nice salty examples. Was the slider bent over for tension during wear or might it have been attached to a Souvenir belt. I have seen that done before to keep the badges from sliding off the belt.

Hard to say for sure ,but there are no tool marks or deep marks to indicate it was bent over after being made.

The area I have outlined in red looks to have vice jaw clamp marks or something similar to my eyes?

Jerry you are right mate ........ better eyes than me (old age) thanks for bringing that to my attention it makes it more personal if it was done at the time of wear ?
