Hi Bill,
I am going through my Canadian material and will compile a list of makers markings that I have. There may very well be duplication for you but that can't really be helped, I'm afraid. Also please bear with me as I can't scan the backs and my camera is playing up. But the info is there.

1. 2eme Regiment de Quebec. Premier Bataillon. - (Maker: JC RONDEAU QUEBEC)
2. 46th Bn - smooth plain back - (Maker: SERVICE SUPPLY ROCHESTER)
3. 64th Bn (Maker: R.J. INGLIS LIMITED)

Indeed, though to tell the truth it is far nicer when held in the hand - somehow the scanner detracts a little. Appreciate your comment.

Bill

You identified a white metal 27th Battalion badge as having the maker "Twigg & Co" (UK) in post #2. Can you put an image of the makers mark up please?

J R Gaunt purchased them in the early 1920s I believe?

Thanks Bill.... its a rare mark I think. Gaunt purchased the company at around the same time they bought out Jennens & Co I believe.

Thanks Rob. Added to the data base. Now, the question is what sizes of buttons did they make?
