Default Royal Navy - National Service

I'm trying to confirm whether or not a neighbour - he died a week ago in his early 90s - served as an officer in the RN in the late 1940s/early 1950s. His widow (his second wife) has no knowledge. Does anyone interested in the RN have the equivalent of the Army List for that period? The name is John Bastin. Thanks. Mike.

Hi Mike

My Naval Lists end in 1945, however, you might get your answer from here: http://www.worldnavalships.com/forums/index.php

Regards
Arthur
