Is this for real or a fantasy badge?

An example is shown in a 2010 post (GURKHA UNKNOWN BADGES) on "militarybadgecollection" , looks like initially "unknown" as scroll is not clear.

It's a fantasy item usually found on the tourist shields - and usually just has prong fixings on the rear - the other Gurkha Medical corps badge which the same seller is selling is a similar item.
