A Source of Pride - reprint
I am considering a re-print of Joe Harper's "A Source of Pride" and welcome comments pro or con from the membership here. Also, let me know if you would want this in hard cover or soft cover.

I'd buy one... either hardcover first choice or soft cover... Jim

I already have a copy. Just to let you know.
Is there a plan to add anything? From what I have seen the original is pretty thorough. Phil |

I would purchase a hardcover edition. If a second edition is being printed, could the images be improved?

A hardcover would be great!

Yes...and no. The original book was produced using Xerology - basically photocopy technology. The re-print will be properly printed using off-set printing. However, the images are only 200DPI and some are very small. I have tried to improve the images as much as possible but I could really use fresh photos/scans of the badges if any exist in your collections. Cheers, Clive

Hello Clive, That would be a real possibility. I will have a look at my images.

I also have a copy and also have many of the badges in Joe's book. I would be happy to provide images of my badges for the reprint.

I bought one the last-but-one time I was in Canada, but for the benefit of others... Pro, pro, pro! With whatever covering.
The only snag being that my other half was so taken with the Yukon MG badges she wants one... |

I have a copy but would go for one with better images - hard or soft cover. I'll look through my pics for any I can contribute. Cheers, Ian.

Hi guys,
I am starting to receive replacement images and I am using this e-mail as a gentle reminder to others The badge should be photographed in hi-res (300DPI) or better. On most cameras set the highest possible resolution and I'll sort it out here. Same with background, as long as there is nothing hiding part of the badge I can use Photoshop to clear out any backgrounds. Thnx, Clive

What badges are looking for? I have seen and perused this book. But don't own a copy! What I don't have I can ask a few collectors some which will want to remain anonymous! Let me know by prove email. Cheers Rob |
