Precedence Confusion!

Hi all,

I have managed to download a copy of Heritage Structure of the Canadian Forces (Ch/Mod 7 2008-05-15). This is the most recent available version I have been able to find after much googling.

As it is an official document of the Canadian Forces, I have put off asking this question for as long as possible:

Why does every other online precedence list I have found (Wikipedia included!) have the 8th Canadian Hussars before the Ontario Regiment, yet the official list has it the other way around (with the York Rangers and Sherbrookes in between)?

The Halifax Rifles (when included - post 2009) seem to move about a bit too!

Which order is right – surely the official list?

Am I being too British, assuming that these things are ‘set in stone’ like our Armed Forces?
