Default No5 commando title .. strange backing

Brought this today ..
All stitching is correct just was unsure on the backing as not seen it like this before .. im pretty sure its genuine . Just need advice on the backing thanx rolly

Hi Rolly
Being a Commando insignia collecting 'anorak' I can assure you this type of backing is a recognised pattern for No.5 where the 'o' in 'No' is above a dot and dash. A good title.

Lovely badge, I've seen the same pattern and backing on a No 10 and a No 9 (white on black)

Belly is 100% correct - but just to be clear - also found on No.10 RED ON BLACK and No9 WHITE ON BLACK (No.10 did not have unit designation white on black, but I knew what Belly meant).
