1/King's Regiment Chindits 1944
I have this photograph of two known members of the 1st battalion King's Regiment (Liverpool). They have a cloth badge comprising a single white bar on the brim of their bush hats which I have not seen on other 1st King's photographs. The photograph was taken on the 20th August 1944 by which time these two men would have been back in India after Operation Thursday. At least one of the men went on to serve in the 15th (King's) Parachute battalion.
Does anyone have an example of this badge that the can upload on to the forum as I would like to see what they looked like in full colour? |

Looks like the badge is "KINGS" on a rectangle - white embroidered on red?

It couldnt just be the letters of "KINGS" merging into each other could it ?

Thank you all for your input, I am clearly going to have to get a pair of spectacles.
