Great link Phil. The process used by other makers in Canada must be similar.

Default PMP closing

Sad news, Pressed Metal Products after 88 years of making military and police badges has decided to sell the business and close the Vancouver location.

PMP were known to have made many Canadian badges over the years including the PCMR badge and most recently badges for CANSOFCOM among others.

For all of you treasure hunters who are thinking of calling them and buying those overrun of CANSOFCOM badges for $1, don't bother.

I already asked and they are all sold to the new company in Quebec.

Rideau Recognition Solutions Montreal, but their website shows no indication of any type of production for badges or awards. In fact the website is huge and says nothing about what they do?

Interesting company profile. They acquired Birks (or part of it) in 2015. And they have a history with government medals and decorations.
