Lovely - a particularly small size by any chance?
Any names or numbers written or printed inside? |

Gosh a splendid find Steve,
They don't make badges like they used to that's for sure. Cheerio, Roy

I eventually worked out that the "silver" leaves in the wreath of the badge were actually gold coloured which has toned to a sort of blued steel colour.

The Royal Marines Artillery and the Royal Marines Light Infantry went through an amalgamation in 1923 ... can't understand why this should be dated 1910.
Did you obtain this tunic at Wadebridge by any chance? |

Is the tunic as per RM Artillery, rebadged as RM?

You say the arm badge is stitched directly into the tunic, but if you look closely I think you may find it is separate, being on a large piece of cloth which was tailored to fit right up to the shoulder, wrap round the sleeve, and at the bottom a straight line (from memory) level with the top of the stripes. That's how it was with my father's RM Colour Sergeants badge from the 1930's.
I would be interested to know if this is in fact the case. Regards, John

It is, the first image shows the horizontal seam forward.of the chevrons ( its hard to spot but becomes apparent when the image is enlarged).

Hi Chaps
I have had a better look at it to this morning I would say that the arm badge forms a part of the tunic looking at the pictures attached it may be an earlier tunic which as lee said re badged at a later date name to the inside section of the arm. Regards steve
