Listing issues.
Vendors can list a lot at any value they want, but it is annoying that the quality of images are so poor on listings with expensive opening values. It obviously raises questions. Is it an attempt to hide something? http://www.ebay.com/itm/322287380817...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Way over valued, I thought $1200 was too much for this badge. The brass version seems to be dropping in value, I have seen some being sold for under $400.

Not so much the value issue, as the images. If you are going to list something expensive, the images should be crystal clear, close up and show every detail. It is impossible to see the lug feet, and one appears to be cracked.

Some people just dont know how to internet. I typically assume it my be someone uploading listing using a phone or tablet. The image might seem ok on a smaller device.
Outside of listing price, some people cant be bothered to post pictures of the reverse

These days most phones have better photo performance than many cameras had a few years back so that's no excuse for a bad photo. Anyway a decent camera taking good quality close-up photos is a cheap enough investment for a serious seller. Ebay have some photo editing facilities on their site which can be used to preview and improve photo quality by cropping etc so there is really no excuse for some of the appalling photos that sellers use - blurred images, tiny items in the middle of the photo with no detail visible and just one photo when several can be uploaded free. Admittedly there may be a few cases where the photos are deliberately out of focus to mislead the buyer but I do believe that the majority of sellers just don't care because people seem to buy regardless! I just don't understand why sellers would not have the best possible image for the item they are selling.
Its a simple thing that potentially leads to more bids and higher prices. Mick

Some sellers are older folks who may be challenged with the latest technology, I have seen some sellers still using scanners to post a picture of the badge, half the badge is out of focus.
