Screen printed Canadian Divisional Badges

I bought this recently very cheaply thinking it's probably a fake.

Were Canadian Divisional badges ever screen printed?

Canadian badges were widely printed in Britain for the formations, regiments and corps stationed here. Apparently no Canadian manufacturer could duplicate the patches made in Britain by The Calico Printers Association.

To add to Jon's information, the Cdn army overseas adopted printed badges in late 1942. But, they were all cut to size and none had the fabric border as shown in the image. And all had the backing material. There is no record of the fold over type edge as shown.
