World Gin Day, 10th June.
Apparently June 10th, today, is World Gin Day.
I wouldn't touch the stuff myself, ruins a good tonic. The Wife ( she of the collection of 60 different gins) went out a while back, my cheery farewell was "see ya Tuesday" (it being Saturday), if anybody finds her, please don't post her back. On a more interesting note, are there such things as "World Beer Day" or "World Bourbon Day"? If so - when are they? |

Hello Leigh
National Bourbon Day is 14th June but that may be just a USA celebration! Seems a good excuse though! As you might expect there seem to be several important beer days - Annual National Beer Day, International Beer Day, Drink Beer Day and so on. Once again, any excuse! Roger |

Ok, not long to Bourbon Day, looks like a Beer Day should crop up at least once a month, great.

Beer Day.
Quote:
National Beer Day (United Kingdom), The date has been celebrated annually on 15 June since 2015. The date was chosen because 15 June is also the date that Magna Carta was sealed in 1215 and ale is mentioned in clause 35 of Magna Carta, which states: Let there be throughout our kingdom a single measure for wine and a single measure for ale and a single measure for corn, namely 'the London quarter' There you have it guys...if you are a real British patriot, you will honour that day.

So does that mean I can walk into any pub on June 15th and demand my free pint? Or claim it as a tax write off? I can just imagine what the response would be!
