Great War period, but more learned members will probably give you a more definitive answer.

Thanks Nozzer.
All tapered sliders (?) but doesn't answer the question.
Very, very few badges in WW1 had makers names on them except officers'.
Cheers

Narborough, Lambourne and Smith & Wright marked the shanks of other ranks cap badges in this period. I also have a MGC that is marked Gaunt in such a way.

Found the maker in the Makers' Marks this morning - it was late last night when I looked under "F"!
So from when to when were F. Narborough manufacturing?

Forgot to mention "Bodill Parker" and of course "Woodward" and I am sure there are one or two others...

As to when Narborough were manufacturing badges, Ticker Riley has done some intense research. So, if you look at some of his threads you might be able to get some precise dates

Thanks.
I have looked at Ticker Riley's list of "Badge - Metal" manufacturers, 1914-1919, (posted on 30-03-11) and F. Narborough is not on his lists - unless I missed another post somewhere else.
Cheers
Bill
