Default Malta Field Defences RA formation badge

Would appreciate it if any of our cloth insignia experts can give the green light or not on this 'patch' (one of a pair).
3cm square and cut from what may possibly be stiff canvas. Indications of the outline cutting dots/strips
Thanks

Thanks for input.

I said stiff canvas for wont of a better material. May in fact be stiff cloth.
I know that as well as printed versions there are also silk woven types. Could it possibly be that printed versions are ORs or even economy issue?

You might like to compare it with a sealed pattern.

Cards like these were produced to be sent to firms asked to manufacture the badge to ensure they complied with the original design.

They are fascinating sources as many of them are annotated on the reverse with the names of manufacturers and the dates the card was supplied to them.

Jon,

Would you have a similar to the Malta Garrison flash? (larger red square w white Maltese Cross). Trying to confirm precise date when introduced
