Envoy Badge RAF colours?

I've seen a couple of these, one included a large RAF collection.

Anyone know what and when?

very interesting, I've never seen one in almost 40 years of RAF collecting. Certainly the wreath is RAF style and the dark backing suggests pre 1948/9 when the change was made to blue/grey. I'm surprised the lettering is not also light blue though as would be the norm.

And the AS-6 Airspeed Envoy was in limited service in the RAF (and FAA) as a VIP transport in the later 1930s/early 1940s. Mike
