Default 3/9 Light Horse (SAMR) officer collar badge

Here's a recent pickup - an officer's stirling silver collar badge for 3/9 Light Horse (SAMR). The hallmark appears to be STG.

Circa 1990s.

I was told that only a small number were privately purchased and worn only on special regimental occasions.
