RAF assortment
My collecting is somewhat eclectic as I tend to buy items that come from car boot sales and local auctions rather than militaria fairs.
He are a selection of items relating to the Royal Air Force that I have picked up over the years. RAF Sergeant's 1943 dated battledress blouse and 1944 dated side cap. |

Is the Ladle dated?
Does it have its own RAF Stores Ref No. ? Mine has 'AM' and a crude looking crown on the reverse, with '21C/308'. dated 1939. I would say yours is earlier with that 'wing' on the front? |

There is no date or store number on the ladle, just the maker's name and logo.

I have no information about it except that it cost me 20p. I would like to think that it was carved from the wreckage of a Messerschmitt 109 downed over Kent in 1940, but it was probably carved by an Erk to stave off boredom during a long winter at some god forsaken airfield in the middle of nowhere.
