I wonder if this is related to the Platoons at the Infantry Training Centre Catterick. The Platoons are designated after Battle Honours so is this to identify the Platoon Sergeant of Minden Platoon? I see there is also a Salamanca Corporal? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Salamanca-....c100005.m1851

Mike,
There is a Fusiler Badged ACF 'Minden Company' who have Dets in Bury Rochdale and other places in Greater Manchester, the old recruiting areas of the Lancashire Fusiliers previously the 20th Foot of Minden fame.
I think there is also a Minden Coy (ACF) in the Scottish Borders.
Paul

Other TA/ACF units use Battle Honours as Company names such as the DofL affiliated using Kohima Arnhem etc

There used to be a Minden Platoon at Depot The Queens Div, Bassingbourn (I was in it in 1972).

The Suffolk's, LF, KOSB, R Hants, KOYLI, & successor regiments. One or two roses worn, in various colours eg RRF & R Anglian red & yellow, KOYLI one white rose.
KOSB one red rose? Not sure on that one.
RWF chose not to wear Minden Roses.
I'm LF, RRF officers who haven't done so before stands & eats a rose from a silver bowl containing champagne.
The Bass Drummer is "locked in" the mess when the Band leaves & toasts the officers after making a short speech, prior to leaving.

I'm a little confused here,
Are these items available from the seller linked official? It seems to me they are copies made to MoD spec, colours etc.

Makes sense for Royal Anglians, The Queens Regt had a Sobraon Sergeant.
Cheers

There are hundreds of "Regimental Pattern" rank slides produced for wear in Barracks.

As they are not an MoD issue they are not copies. The only MoD issued rank slides are in MTP with the rank in a greyish off white colour, for all three services.

They should probably go through their website and mark their items appropriately, Regimently approved Pattern rather than MoD approved. Still copies imo, some of the quality is pretty poor, particularly on the Officers Bullion badges made by Zohaib embroidery and their cap badges are not issue. A bastion of future fakes
