I wonder if this is related to the Platoons at the Infantry Training Centre Catterick. The Platoons are designated after Battle Honours so is this to identify the Platoon Sergeant of Minden Platoon? I see there is also a Salamanca Corporal? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Salamanca-....c100005.m1851

I think there is also a Minden Coy (ACF) in the Scottish Borders. Paul Other TA/ACF units use Battle Honours as Company names such as the DofL affiliated using Kohima Arnhem etc

The Suffolk's, LF, KOSB, R Hants, KOYLI, & successor regiments.One or two roses worn, in various colours eg RRF & R Anglian red & yellow, KOYLI one white rose.
KOSB one red rose? Not sure on that one. RWF chose not to wear Minden Roses. I'm LF, RRF officers who haven't done so before stands & eats a rose from a silver bowl containing champagne. The Bass Drummer is "locked in" the mess when the Band leaves & toasts the officers after making a short speech, prior to leaving.
