Default Military Police TC and VP badges - advice needed

Hi All,

I've been to a fair a few times where a seller has a Military Police VP badge for sale, I'm quite tempted but I don't know anything about cloth badges.

Are there any warning signs or tell tales marks I should be looking for to identify the real thing from a modern repro?

I've asked the price and he seems to fluctuate between £35 and £50 for it, is that a fair price or is it a case of it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it?

Thanks a lot,

Michael

Michael,

I have these badges and as far as I can recall have never seen a copy of them.
The prices you quote seem about right.

regards

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, it's reassuring to hear that but I know there are modern ones out there as I have some as fillers in my display, I bought them here:

http://www.montyslocker.co.uk/oursho...ty-Points.html

It does suggest though that the seller has the real thing and these ones from montys locker come with stickers on saying copy (but I suppose that's easily taken off). Is there anything I should look for in general with WW2 cloth badges?

Thanks again,

Michael
