2nd Bn Collar in white metal

Here is a collar that I picked up last summer. Can't find a reference to it but it is in white metal and about 34mm tall, lugged with no maker mark.

It is not an unknown 2nd Bn badge but a 30th British Columbia Bn badge which has had the banner removed.

Thank you for the responses BC and Bill. Yes I think that you fellows are correct. I even found another example in my lot. The search also brought to my attention that I do not have an example of a Tiptaft made cap badge. In any event the WM one beside it in addition to the pointed serif on the "2" also has a Tiptaft Birmingham stamped slider on it. I looked at both carefully and I have to say that there are some markings of perhaps a banner being removed. I will say one thing, that it was in both cases a job really carefully done. They were both able to preserve the distinctive Tiptaft stem on the maple leaf. I think that the real tell is if you look at them front on and you go to the bottom at the stem of the leaf, then you step to the left you can see that the first major lobe of the lugged one is missing but prominent on the slider one. My fault for not taking more care on the initial ident.
Wonder if this was an example of one or two soldiers wanting really small cap badges, or perhaps wanting distinctive collars. Maybe it was the whole unit distancing itself from the British Columbia connection.
