Default Unknown button

Recently picked up a dozen fine fire gilt officers large size buttons as per image, the back stamp is in a darkened metal " treble extra stand"(ard). I cannot find any reference to this button but assume it is corps as not numbered. Any help will be gratefully received.

Hello Pembird

I see that no one has had a go at this one yet, so I will stick my neck out!

I don't think they are military at all. I have come across this design before but have never found any conclusive evidence that they are military. They may have been a "General Service" type of button for a Government agency of some description but I certainly don't think they were for any specific regiment or corps.

Hopefully having 'bumped' this to the top another forum member will be able to confirm/deny my views.

Regards
Roger
