Sorry Chris only just seen this.

I have examples of all 4 in my collection and I believe they are as follows.

1) Red/Green - unofficial badge produced by John Bull Clothing - possibly used on sports kit etc

2) Gold/ Blue - I think it is official and I think it's something to do with the QOGLC - but might be wrong on that.

3) Olive / Black - official TRF for Brigade of Gurkhas

4) Red / Black - I've always believed this was an arm badge for British recruiting officers in Nepal. ( Pokhara ) - there is another version which is red over green similar but smaller to No.1

Hope this helps

Tim

Black on red, the last picture - isn't that the arm badge from 28 Squadron RAF?

Thanks for that article. It brought me up to date. The last time I looked 28 Squadron was the largest Squadron in the RAF with about 24 Merlin helicopters in different flights. Each flight wore a different colour sleeve badge as well as the crossed kukris black on red.
I'd better hang on to my flight badges then.
I now find they're flying Chinooks and Pumas!
