Default Royal Regiment of Wales Bi Metal

Came across a BI metal version of the Royal Regiment of Wales yesterday, did'nt bother with it, I'm sure I've read somewhere on the forum this was only ever officially made in a/a? Am I correct?
Thanks Tony

The badge below was issued to The Royal Regiment of Wales, it was also worn by The Royal Welsh until they got their own badge.

Tony,
RRW is generally beyond my era for collecting but I can tell you I have a hallmarked S&G Officer's badge and a metal standard pattern that looks ok to me. the other two I have are a/a.
Hwyl,
Kevin

This pattern badge was only ever issued in anodised, the bimetal badges with both lugs and sliders are modern AMMO/PRI productions!

Marc, it (bimetal) may have been authorised but was not taken up as there were plenty of anodised issued badges by a variety of manufacturers
