Anyone seen this type of badge before. It's about 2.5" square.

The badge is shown in Bloomer "Scottish Regimental Badges 1793-1971" on Plate 7.No.40
The description is "Queens Edinburgh Rifle Volunteer Brigade,O/R`s pre 1888,black metal " P.B.
