Feedback option is not affected by a PayPal refund.
Had a seller fail to sent item, he would not reply to eBay and PayPal made a refund. Thanked him for looking after my money whilst he borrowed it..

Here's todays wonderful response from the seller in the dispute:

Seller's message:
"I can not refund you the money because I do not know which cross you will send me back. Maybe you will put an other cross into the envelope and not the badge which is shown in my ebay auction.

I told him I had never dealt with such a dishonest seller in 12 years of using EBay & that his message to me was a disgrace!
I have to wait until the 1st of May to escalate it to Customer Service - I can;t wait until they read it all!!!

Well Chaps,
Today was the 10th day since opening my dispute & I was able to escalate the case to Customer Support (not suprisingly that after mentioning to the seller that I had found the image of the badge he used from a german forum he went silent on the matter). A couple of hours later I have had this e-mail from Ebay :
Good news. We issued you with a refund of EUR 196.68 on 01 May, 2011 credited to the PayPal account you used to purchase this item. The refund includes the purchase price plus original postage & packaging. Please log into PayPal to get your refund.

This case is now closed, but you can view the details of the case in the Resolution Centre.

So, thank goodness for that! One thing it also raised in my mind as the fact that the seller used a photo of a genuine badge from a forum much like this to attempt to swindle me which made me wonder if that has ever happened here?
