One for 8th Foot.
This is a badge that has been faked to death, a King's Liverpool Scottish belt plate badge?.. before I consign it to the restrike bin, is this a fake too? The overall detail to the crown and thistles are good and signs of wear look genuine, although it lacks rear detail!
Many thanks Andy |

Hi Andy, from what I've been told and read, it has to have screw posts north and south I believe to be original.
Simon. P.S. the package is on it's way |

Thanks Simon,
I suspect it's a well made restrike! Andy |

Andy,
Not much more to add to what was said in the linked threads except a lot of well know dealers have offered similar badges with lugs which are not right. Peter
