Default One for 8th Foot.

This is a badge that has been faked to death, a King's Liverpool Scottish belt plate badge?.. before I consign it to the restrike bin, is this a fake too? The overall detail to the crown and thistles are good and signs of wear look genuine, although it lacks rear detail!

Many thanks

Andy

Hi Andy, from what I've been told and read, it has to have screw posts north and south I believe to be original.

Simon.

P.S. the package is on it's way

Thanks Simon,
I suspect it's a well made restrike!

Andy,

Not much more to add to what was said in the linked threads except a lot of well know dealers have offered similar badges with lugs which are not right.
