Help Needed on Maybe a Cap Badge?
Evening folks
My name is Sean and im trying to id in what i think could be some sort of Cap Badge. I've been forwarded to this site via another from a member telling me maybe one of you guys could help me out. i was out with my metal detector last weekend and i stumbled on a few bits of military history. I've been trying to id this item for just over a week now and im still none the wiser. Heres a link to a photo if you wish to try and help me out http://i806.photobucket.com/albums/y...s/IMG_6836.jpg The badge itself is 75mm in length and 47mm wide, which also has the lettering "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE" If anybody has an idea to the id of this i would be so grateful for any info thanks sean |

Hi Sean,
Sorry I can't identify this badge but it has certain characteristics, Victorian crown and Scottish type Rampant lion so may be linked to a Scottish regiment (compare with my atavar Lion). Could you post a picture of the rear to show fixtures? Cheers, Tinto |

With those dimensions, if it is solidly made, it may be a martingale badge.
