Horn collars, orientation?
When the horn is used as a device for collars, which end of the horn should be facing in? The large end, or the mouthpiece?

Mouthpiece inwards ( towards the wearers face ) . As with all matters connected with the military there may be exceptions to the rule !

Of course it is not completely unknown for officers to wear their collar badges the wrong way round.
